There is a specific kind of happiness that only exists in the middle of summer — when cherries are ripe and warm and the garden is doing exactly what it should. This set was made from that feeling. The peach-nude base was chosen for its warmth — not pink, not orange, but that in-between tone that exists in the best light of the best day. The lilac tips were added like the cool shadow at the end of the afternoon, soft and familiar. And then the accent nails. Each one was painted entirely by hand — yellow daisies with tiny stamens, pink flowers with rounded petals, cherries in pairs with their stems still attached, dots of white hovering like apple blossom in the wind. No stencil. No shortcut. Just a brush small enough to fit inside a cherry, and a person patient enough to use it. The centre of each flower was placed last — white dots pressed in one by one, because everything beautiful deserves a centre. This is what summer looks like when someone loves it enough to put it on your hands.
