Dark Girl

There are three colours in this set: nude, black, and white. That is all. And that is everything. The nude base was applied first — warm, soft, the colour of skin at its most comfortable. The black tip came next, applied in a single clean application over the tip of each nail and sealed to a sharp edge. Not dark navy. Not charcoal. Black — the complete absorption of light, the colour that does not negotiate. And then, precisely at the point where black and nude would have simply met, a white line was drawn. A single line, uniform in width, applied by hand with a thin brush that must be held at exactly the right angle to produce a line that reads as straight and consistent and intentional rather than accidental. This is the hardest line to paint in nail art. A white line against black must be opaque on the first pass — going over it creates texture, and texture on a graphic line is the line failing. Every white stripe on every nail in this set was applied in one pass. That is not a claim made casually.
