Dotted Toes - 20 Toe Nails

Polka dots on toes are a decision that very few people make and everyone notices. This set was made for that decision — for the person who thought about their pedicure and chose something that would make people look twice without being able to explain why it is so appealing. The blush base was applied first — the same soft, skin-warm pink that works as the backdrop for everything in this colour family. The crimson dots were placed after: each one pressed with a dotting tool at a consistent size and spacing, the number of dots per nail scaled proportionally to the nail's width so the big toe carries more dots than the little toe, but each nail feels as considered as the last. The crimson was chosen specifically: not red, which would be bright and competitive, not burgundy, which would be dark and heavy, but the in-between tone that is deep and rich and exactly the colour of something rare. On blush. Repeated across twenty nails. Each dot placed by the same hand, with the same tool, with the same patience. The result is twenty nails that look like a fabric swatch from a designer who has been making things since before fast fashion existed and sees no reason to change.
