It started with a colour that has no single name — the mauve that sits between purple and taupe and grey, the one that changes temperature depending on the light, the one that looks different on every person and right on all of them. We found that colour. Then we added something entirely unexpected — a gold chain, hand-applied at the tip, because some things only become what they truly are when the most unlikely detail arrives and makes perfect sense.
Every set of Dusty Chain is handcrafted with a base that moves — a dusty mauve shimmer that shifts between warm and cool as the light changes, built up in layers until the depth is exactly right. Sugar crystal particles catch the light within the base like something internal, as though the colour itself contains tiny points of interest that reveal themselves slowly. Then, at the tip of each nail, a gold chain is applied by hand — not printed, not transferred, but placed link by individual link across the edge, creating a border that is simultaneously architectural and feminine, structured and soft. The contrast between the dusty haze of the mauve and the precision of the gold chain is the entire point of this set. Two things that seem to be from different worlds. Completely at home together.
