There is a kind of love story that does not end quietly. This set was made for that kind. The ivory-white base was chosen for the quality it shares with old things: warm, slightly aged, the white of a cathedral wall rather than a hospital room. Gold baroque vine scrollwork was painted across the white nails entirely by hand — each tendril curling outward from a central stem, each leaf extending in a different direction, the pattern covering the full nail the way centuries of ornamental work cover the walls of a building that was built to last. The nude blush nails provide the breath between them — the moments of silence in something that is otherwise entirely statement. And then the charms. The gold sword was placed at the centre nail — upright, the point touching the cuticle, the handle at the tip. A real cast metal piece, positioned by hand at the exact angle where it reads as intentional rather than decorative. The garnet heart was set at the final nail — a deep, faceted red stone in a gold frame, the colour of something that has been kept for a long time and has not faded. Every element on this set was placed by someone who understood the story they were building — and placed every piece where it needed to be for the story to be complete. Made by hand.
