Pink Flames

Some sets do not announce themselves. This one announces itself immediately, from across the room, in any lighting condition. The nude-blush base was applied first — the warmest, most skin-flattering base in the French tip collection, chosen precisely because what comes next requires contrast to work. The hot pink flame tip was drawn by hand — not stamped, not stencilled, not transferred. Drawn. Each curve of each flame was pulled with a brush that required confident, continuous movement, because flame shapes are undulating and organic and any hesitation in the stroke is visible in the result. The flame rises from the base of the tip in a peak, then falls, then rises again — the rhythm of real fire, applied to a nail. And then, before the pink cured, the neon yellow outline was traced — a single continuous line following every curve of every flame, making each peak and valley visible as if lit from beneath. Ten nails. Ten flames. Each one drawn separately, each one continuous, each one correct. The person who made this set loves fire. You can tell.
