It started with the image of something rare — a butterfly that doesn't exist in the wild, deep crimson with gold veining, the kind of creature that belongs in a cabinet of curiosities or on the finger of someone who has always understood that the most extraordinary things are the ones that shouldn't be possible but are. We held that image until we understood how to make it real. Then we did it, by hand, one nail at a time.
Every set of Red Monarch is handcrafted with a blush base that lets every element placed on it breathe. Deep crimson sweeps across the tip of each nail — not a clean line but a sweeping shape, like a wing mid-flight, edged in gold that catches every angle of light. On the most adorned nail, a gold sunburst is hand-drawn from a deep garnet cabochon at its center — radiating outward in fine strokes the way something sacred always does. The butterfly wings are sculpted separately — deep red, veined in gold, dimensional and lifted just slightly from the surface as though they arrived between one moment and the next.
This set is not quiet. It is not trying to blend in. It arrived with wings open and gold on everything — and it was made for the woman who does the same.
