White Edge

There are combinations that are discovered rather than invented. This set is one of those. The dusty mauve-rose base was chosen for its specific quality: not pink enough to be sweet, not grey enough to be cold, but that exact middle temperature that exists at the meeting point of both — the colour of a dried flower pressed between pages that was once vivid and is now something more interesting. The magnetic shimmer was introduced over this base — pulled across each nail with the wand at the angle that produces a broad, draped movement of lighter mauve through the deeper base, the way silk moves when it is gathered. And then the white tip. Applied after the magnetic work was complete and cured — clean, sharp, consistent — at the point where the silk-shifted base meets the tip. The combination should have been considered carefully. In practice, the moment it was applied for the first time, it was immediately obvious that it was correct. Magnetic cat-eye French tips exist in theory in many collections. This combination of dusty mauve, broad silk shift, and clean white tip exists in practice only here. Made by hand.
